Uruz

Uruz is the aurochs — the huge wild ox that no one owned. This is strength before it is tamed or titled: health, stamina, the body's stubborn will to persist. Where Fehu is wealth you keep, Uruz is the power you are.

Upright

Upright, Uruz brings force to spend: recovery gaining speed, a project you can finally shoulder, the animal confidence that makes obstacles look like exercise. It often appears when life demands more of you and quietly certifies that the reserves exist. Drink water, lift the real weight, say the difficult thing — the ox is under you.

Reversed

Reversed, the strength is misfiring: burnout worn as a badge, force where finesse was needed, health ignored until it invoices. Sometimes it is borrowed horns — bravado covering a tired animal. The medicine is unglamorous: rest, protein, honesty about capacity.

In love

In love, Uruz is physical presence and protective instinct — the partner who shows up, carries, holds. Its risk is bluntness: strength that forgets to be gentle bruises what it defends. Reversed, ask whether you are guarding the relationship or just guarding.

In work and money

At work, this rune favours the heavy lift: demanding projects, physical trades, the season where endurance is the strategy. It dislikes delegation of the hard part. Reversed, it flags the marathon run at sprint pace — pace or perish.

A step that helps

Do one thing this week with your actual body — carry, build, walk far. The ox thinks through the muscles.

The cat drags the entire baguette off the counter, backwards: 'Strength test. Passed.'

Runes here are a mirror for reflection and a piece of living history — not a prediction and not a promise. For entertainment and thought.
