Jera ᛃ
Jera is the year — the harvest rune, two halves turning around each other like seasons. It is time as an ally: sow, tend, wait the honest interval, reap. No rune is fairer; none is slower. Jera pays exactly what was planted, on the crop's schedule, not yours.
Upright
Jera promises harvest — of what you actually sowed, which is the fine print worth rereading. Efforts mature now; patience begun long ago pays; cycles complete on time. It is the best rune for long games: study, savings, gardens, marriages. If you are mid-cycle, Jera counsels the farmer's calm — the corn does not grow faster for being shouted at, and it is growing.
In shadow — this rune has no reversed
Jera doesn't reverse — the wheel of the year turns one way. Its shadow is bad farming: expecting June's fruit in March, abandoning fields at the boring middle, or the harder harvest — reaping what was carelessly planted seasons back and calling it bad luck. Consequence is just cause, aged.
In love
In love, Jera honours the long crop: relationships that improve annually like orchards, anniversaries as actual measurements. Its counsel to new love is unromantic and true — judge in seasons, not weekends. To old love: keep planting; last year's harvest feeds no one twice.
In work and money
At work, it rules compound results — reputation, pensions, mastery, the client base grown ring by ring. Jera money is boring and unstoppable. Its warning: no harvest without prior sowing, and someone is always eating last year's decisions. Make them good ones.
A step that helps
Plant one deliberately slow thing this month — a course, a habit, a tree if you have the ground. Set a reminder for one year. Thank yourself then.
The cat knows the exact minute of dinner across all seasons: 'Time is a wheel. I am its axle.'
Runes here are a mirror for reflection and a piece of living history — not a prediction and not a promise. For entertainment and thought.
