Ingwaz is the seed — a closed diamond, energy packed and sealed like a bulb in November. Named for Ing, an old fertility god who arrives, blesses, and departs, it is potential at maximum compression: the work complete inside, waiting only for its season to open.

Upright

Ingwaz marks the good gestation: a phase completing internally, strength stored, a project or a self quietly finished under the surface and nearly ready to sprout. Its counsel is rare in a hurry-culture — seal it and rest. Stop revising the plan; stop opening the oven; let the sealed thing do its private arithmetic. Release, when it comes, will be sudden and clean, the bulb's whole spring in one push.

In shadow — this rune has no reversed

No reversed — a seed is a seed all ways up. Its shadow is the seal that never breaks: potential hoarded as identity ('so much promise', for decades), rest extended into hiding, the harvest postponed because ripeness ends the pleasant waiting. Seeds are verbs eventually. Schedule the spring.
