The moon's cycle is one of the oldest ways people have described rhythm: something begins in the dark, swells to full light, then lets go. Most of us lean towards one of those moods. This quiz asks five quick questions — your energy, your favourite hour, what fills your notebooks, your role in a group project, what you crave right now — to see which part of the cycle you live in most comfortably.

It is not about your birth date or the actual phase in the sky today. It is a symbolic mirror, and a handy one: knowing your phase helps you notice which part of any project you love and which part you tend to skip.

The three phases you can get

• New Moon — the seed hour: intention, privacy and beginnings that start underground.
• Full Moon — peak light: culmination, visibility, feelings at full tide.
• Waning Moon — the gentle release: sorting, thanking and letting the finished be finished.

Think of a birthday party. The New Moon had the idea months ago and told nobody, the Full Moon is the one making the toast, and the Waning Moon is happily washing glasses at midnight, already sorting what to keep.

How to answer, and a small lunar experiment

Answer for the season you are in now, not for who you were last year. "Right now you crave…" is the question that most often tips the result, so take a breath before you choose.
