Is the card new every day?

Yes. The shadow card is recalculated after midnight from the current date, right in your browser — nothing is sent to a server. If your almanac profile has a name, the card takes it into account too.

Does it interfere with the regular card of the day?

Not at all. The shadow card keeps its own count and never touches your light card of the day: many readers draw both — one in the morning, one at night.
