How to use the 2026 phase calendar

A phase is an exact moment, not an all-day condition. Calendars in different countries can show neighbouring dates because the same instant falls on different local clock dates. New Moon occurs when the Sun and Moon have the same apparent ecliptic longitude; Full Moon occurs near 180 degrees apart. First and last quarter occur near 90 and 270 degrees.

Astronomy

Use the table for observing plans, photography or simply knowing the sky. Weather, horizon and local moonrise still determine what you can actually see.

Ritual and reflection

If lunar ritual is meaningful to you, treat the phases as gentle prompts rather than commands: begin, notice, revise, release. There is no scientific evidence that a phase decides personal outcomes.

Calculated with Astronomy Engine. Times are rounded to the nearest minute; UTC+3 is shown as a fixed Moscow offset for 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Why can another calendar show a different date?

The astronomical event is one instant, but local dates depend on time zone. Rounding and different ephemerides can also move a displayed time by several minutes.

Are these dates predictions?

No. The tables are astronomical calculations. Any astrological interpretation is offered as cultural symbolism for reflection, not a forecast of personal events.
