The Cat's Spread
The cat is still hiding the cards
This spread opens only for those who have found all seven cats hidden across the pages of the almanac. They peek out of the bottom corner on random pages — click to catch one.
Cats found. Look around different pages — and come back.
You found all the cats of the almanac — and the old purring one has revealed her special spread. The first card is what the cat sees in your today (even if you don't notice it). The second — where you should look next. The third — the small gift she will bring you on her paws. Purr.
How to unlock the Cat’s Spread
The spread stays hidden until you have found all seven cats. They appear in the bottom corner of random pages across the almanac — the horoscope, the moon calendar, recipes, the tarot pages. Click one to catch it; the counter on this page shows how many you have. There is no shortcut and no list of where they hide: the point is to wander, read and notice.

The three positions of the Cat’s Spread
- What the cat sees — something already present in your day that you haven’t fully noticed: a small joy, a tiredness, a person quietly on your side.
- Where she is looking — the direction worth turning towards next. Cats stare at things we can’t see yet; read this card as a gentle “look over there”.
- What she’ll bring on her paws — a small gift: a resource, a mood, a chance. Not a grand prophecy — cats bring small, very specific presents.
How to read it: an example
This is a light, playful spread, so ask a light question — or none at all. “What should I notice this week?” is perfect.
What the cat sees — the Queen of Cups: compassion, intuition, nurturing. You’ve been caring for everyone; the cat sees how much. Where she is looking — the Four of Swords: rest, a pause. Her gaze is on the sofa, and so should yours be. What she’ll bring — the Three of Cups: friendship, celebration. After the rest, a warm evening with friends. Read together: “You give a lot. Rest first — the fun comes to you after.”
A reversed card here is the cat being mischievous: the gift is still coming, just from an unexpected direction.
Why the spread is hidden
Hiding the spread is part of its magic. Hunting for cats takes you through corners of the almanac you might never open otherwise — a moon ritual, a recipe, an article about sleep — and by the time the seventh cat is caught, you have already spent a little time noticing small things. That is exactly the skill the Cat’s Spread asks for: seeing what is already in front of you.
When you want something more serious
The Cat’s Spread is a reward and a smile, not a tool for big decisions. For a real question, choose from the ten spreads: Past · Present · Future for a story, A Choice of Two Paths for a decision, the Celtic Cross for something complex.
